Blas is an Irish-Gaelic word for taste and flavor; this Irish word is used in a proverb that translates as ‘a small amount is tasty,' a word best suited for the delicacy of craft chocolate. 

What is craft chocolate? Craft chocolate is so far from industrial made chocolate. Chocolate is a staple food when you're a child, so more likely than not, you would have had a candy bar in your life. Whether it's a Hershey's bar with your smores or snacking on Reese's peanut butter cups on Halloween, it's the standard of chocolate we've grown up on. But it only tells us one part of the story. Chocolate, however, is so much more. Chocolate has thousands of different flavor combinations, not just "Chocolatey." It can be earthy and fruity. Floral or nutty. Buttery or toffee-y. And that's craft chocolate. It's a process made by a person or a group of people in one facility using QUALITY ingredients. It's what is known as bean to bar- making chocolate from the beginning of it's journey (the unroasted cocoa bean) all the way until it's wrapped up and beautifully-made into a chocolate bar. 

Blas chocolate is, an essence, a micro batch bean to bar chocolate company. We make single origin chocolate using cocoa from all over the world. Every single bar is made by hand and packaged one at a time. It's a long, time consuming process, but the most rewarding to create a life changing piece of chocolate that is far from industrial standards of chocolate.
